The Samburu, the rangers, the communities of the Laikipia Plateau — they are not background to the landscapes I photograph. They are the reason large parts of East Africa still exist as they do. The warrior who tracks lion movement and the ranger who monitors poaching routes are often the same person. These portraits are made with permission, with time, and with respect. Each is a limited edition fine art print. A portion of every acquisition supports indigenous-led conservation initiatives across the region.
