FAQ

Answers to common questions about fine art wildlife photography prints, editions, shipping, framing, and conservation.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?
Each print is made to order and dispatched within 5–7 business days. Delivery time after dispatch depends on your location — typically 3–7 business days for domestic orders and up to 14 business days internationally. If you need a print by a specific date, please contact me before ordering.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Prints ship worldwide. International orders may be subject to customs fees, taxes, or import duties on arrival, which are the responsibility of the recipient. Delivery timelines vary by destination.

Do you offer expedited or express shipping?
Express shipping is not currently offered as a standard checkout option. If your order is time-sensitive, please reach out to studio@deannadeshea.com before placing it and I will do my best to help.

What if my order arrives damaged or doesn’t arrive?
Please inspect your print as soon as it arrives. If something is damaged or missing, email studio@deannadeshea.com with your order number and photographs of the packaging and print. I will arrange a replacement or refund depending on the circumstances.

THE PRINTS

What materials are used for fine art prints?

Prints are produced on Hahnemühlé archival bamboo paper, selected for its depth of tone, surface quality, and long-term stability. Bamboo is a rapidly renewable material, and the paper is acid-free with no optical brighteners. Production is plastic-free.

Are the prints limited editions?
Yes. Each image is produced in limited editions of 50 per size. Once an edition sells out, it is permanently retired. Edition number and size are printed on each work alongside my signature.

What sizes are available?
Prints are offered in four sizes: Edition (14 inch), Study (20 inch), Gallery (36 inch), and Statement (52 inch). Select portrait and indigenous portrait works are available in three sizes. Full specifications and dimensions in both inches and centimetres are listed on each individual product page.

Will my print fade over time?
Hahnemühlé archival inks are rated for 100+ years under standard display conditions. To preserve colour and detail, display your print away from direct sunlight, use UV-filtering glass when framing, and keep it away from damp or humid environments.

How should I care for my print?
Handle prints by the edges and avoid touching the printed surface. If dust settles, wipe gently with a clean, dry microfibre cloth. Do not use cleaning fluids. For framing, a UV-protective glazing is recommended.

Can I have my print framed?
Framing options in sustainably sourced walnut and maple are available. Custom framing to suit your space is also offered. Please enquire at studio@deannadeshea.com or via the contact form on site.

SUSTAINABILITY

How are prints produced sustainably?

Prints are produced on demand — no overstock, no waste. Hahnemühlé bamboo paper is used exclusively. Packaging is plastic-free. The print studio operates regional facilities across the US, Europe, and the UK, which reduces unnecessary transit distances.

Is the packaging sustainable?
Yes. All orders are dispatched in plastic-free packaging using recyclable and compostable materials. No single-use plastics are used at any stage of production or dispatch.

Do you use Peak Design gear? What are its sustainability credentials?
Yes. I use Peak Design camera and field equipment. Peak Design is a certified B Corporation with a carbon-neutral product programme and a commitment to using recycled materials across their range. These values align with how I approach the work in the field.

CONSERVATION

Does my purchase support conservation?

Yes. A portion of every acquisition supports conservation and community-led initiatives across Africa. This is embedded directly into how the work is priced — not offered as an optional add-on.

Which conservation organisations do you support?
Elephant prints support Reteti Elephant Sanctuary, a community-run sanctuary in Samburu, Kenya, and the Amboseli Trust for Elephants. Rhino prints support Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary in South Africa. Each product page names the relevant partner.

What is Reteti Elephant Sanctuary?
Reteti Elephant Sanctuary is the first community-owned elephant sanctuary in Africa, located in Samburu, northern Kenya. It is run by the local Samburu community and focuses on rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing orphaned and injured elephants back to the wild.

What is your philosophy about animals in the wild?
I photograph animals on their own terms. No baiting, no staging, no pursuit. The work is made through stillness and patience — waiting for a moment rather than manufacturing one. Animals are wild and free. The camera is a witness, not an instrument of control.

PAYMENT & RETURNS

What payment methods do you accept?

Major credit and debit cards are accepted at checkout. Buy now, pay later options through Klarna, Afterpay, and Affirm are also available for those who prefer to spread the cost.

Can I return or exchange a print?
Because each print is made to order, returns are not accepted unless the work arrives damaged or defective. Please inspect your order on arrival and contact studio@deannadeshea.com with your order number and photographs if there is an issue. I will resolve it promptly.

Are commissions available?
For collectors seeking a singular work, commissions are available by request. Please reach out via the enquiry form on site with details of what you have in mind. Pricing and lead time depend on the scope of the project.

THE WORK

Where can I see the work in person?

Selected works are held at E Gallery Studios in Dallas’s Design District. I also participate in occasional exhibitions and events — follow @deannadeshea on Instagram or subscribe to the newsletter to hear about upcoming showings.

Has your work been published or exhibited?
Yes. I have been published in Mother Magazine Volume 3 alongside Jane Goodall and Sophie Darlington, and received the Gold Award in Wildlife at the One Shot Photo Contest. Selected works are held at E Gallery Studios.

How do I contact you?
The best way to reach me is by email at studio@deannadeshea.com or through the contact form on site. I respond within one business day on weekdays.

How are prints priced?
Pricing reflects the cost of archival materials, sustainable production, limited edition exclusivity, and the field time and post-production investment behind each image. The Edition size (14 inch) starts at £99, making the collection accessible at every level of collecting.
