more than a book—it’s art
A coffee table book of fine art photography and conservation advocacy. Three hundred pages.
ICON brings together over one hundred images from Deanna’s years in the wild — animals and indigenous communities photographed in direct presence, without staging or artificial light. Stories behind the images. Insights into her artistic process.
With a powerful foreword by wildlife activist and actress Kristin Bauer.
For those who believe in beauty, in the wild, and in what must never be lost. Each, an ICON.
IN THE WILD, ART IS THE LANGUAGE
Its heart beats for conservation. Proceeds support the conservation sanctuary directly.
The foreword was written by actress and wildlife activist Kristin Bauer. It was born from our meeting at Ol Pejeta — home to the last two northern white rhinos on earth.
Deanna is one of the very best Wildlife photographers of our time! She uses her voice, beautiful “one of a kind” photos, and platform to shine a light on the plight that is facing African wildlife today, as well as the indigenous tribes.
The book is put together brilliantly and beautifully. You will get lost in the pages and come away more the wiser about what’s happening to wildlife in Africa.
